New Wine List Coming Soon

It’s been a busy period recently for us as we look to update our wine selection at both Chop House Leith & Market St. Pairing great wine with fantastic steak is at he heart of what we do best so we have endured extensive research on sampling new wines. We don’t expect any sympathy however we do hope you enjoy our new wine list which will be launching soon.

Our next two complimentary events will focus on a small selection of these new wines which will give you a taste of the new menu. The wines to be featured include……

Les Hipsters Chateau de Barbe - A construction of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Malbec this French Bordeaux shows aromas of ripe dark fruit with notes of broom flowers, coconut & brioche with savoury blackcurrant developing on the palate. This slightly oaked blend is a fantastic new addition and compliments our steaks perfectly.

Bay Of Fire Pinot Gris - From the Australian East Coast, Derwent & Coal River Valley growing areas of Tasmania. This lively, just off-dry white features characters of melon, peach & is full, complex with a crisp & refreshing acidity. Superb with seafood such as scallops & shrimp.

Chalk Hill Luna Shiraz - Aged in French oak for 15 months this South Australian red from the Chalk Hill region uses shiraz & barbera as the primary grapes. Rich & deep purple in colour with raspberry & floral notes, touches of savoury earthiness, the palate shows crunchy red-berry fruit, hints of chocolate, coffee & cracked pepper spice. Another welcome addition to the Chop House wine collection.

These wine tasting events have been arranged at Chop House Market St. on Thursday 18th May & Thursday 25th at Chop House Leith with each new wine to be enjoyed with delicious bites freshly prepared by our kitchen team.

We look to welcome you at the bar for an evening of new wines & tasty steak.
