Makers Mark Cocktails

For our next complimentary event we’ve teamed up with Makers Mark on Friday 14th April for an evening of bourbon cocktails at Chop House Leith. 

The Makers Mark story began way back in Kentucky, 1952, when Bill Samuels Sr embarked on a 6 year journey to create the famous family bourbon. After continuous trial and error he perfected the bourbon we know today by replacing rye with wheat and using pure limestone spring water to produce a rich & smooth spirit. First bottled in 1958 for general sale the symbolic red wax is still prominent today with each bottle dipped by hand meaning no two are the same. 

Rich & fruity on the nose with hints of spiced honey, mixed peels & hazelnuts. On the palate, rich & full with rye, spice, butterscotch & vanilla apparent. With a fairly sweet finish it’s common to enjoy neat however due it’s flavour profile it’s perfect mixed up in cocktails also. 

The event is now full and we can't wait for you to try our Makers Mark creations.
