Hennessy Cocktail Masterclass

For our next cocktail masterclasses we’re excited to host Hennessy for two nights of cognac cocktails at the Chop House Edinburgh bar.

Born in Cognac, France but created by Irishman Richard Hennessy who left County Cork for continental Europe & founded Hennessy in 1765. It was then when he carried on the Irish tradition of enjoying a drink or two.

Going back to basics, cognac is a grape brandy, or essentially distilled wines with higher ABV’s. Hennessy is a combination of 40 distillations, which is then French oak barrel aged which results in a nutty or toasty, richer cognac with tender notes of fruit, vanilla & subtle spice.

Traditionally enjoyed neat or over rocks in a nice big tulip or balloon glass it’s a fantastic liquid for mixing up in cocktails. Our cocktail bar teams at Chop House Leith & Market St. have each created their 3 own cocktails for the events which we’re sure you’ll love. The Chop House kitchen will provide the bites for the evening with our signature dry-aged steak & fresh seafood both featuring.
